craig melvin, thank you for joining us from cleveland ohio. let me go now to clint van zandt and follow what clint is good at, missing patterns. the manipulation of these women, their friendships to try to give them comfort to, give them a free ride, something right up front, and then, of course, to be able to get them into that house and keep them there for a decade each and keep them in their separate ways alive, healthy, and useful to him and whatever his purposes were. by the way, why would he want three? would he want more? what's this tell you about his profile? >> yeah. three is an interesting number. and again, chris, realize he grabbed the first victim in '02, '03, '04. you're telling me this guy batted a thousand that every time he went for a victim he was able to get it. there were no attempts where, as you suggest, young women would have refused, said no thank you, i know better to get into a stranger's car, and what about all of these other missing persons? i would not be quick to close a book on this guy whatsoever. but, you know

joining us from cleveland is craig melvin, also joining me is former fbi profiler clint van zandt. craig, you are on site there. it seems to be obviously understandably a very emotional time for this community in cleveland. give us a sense of what it is like. we are actually in front of the home of the three girls. for where they were held for about a deck dade. we saw the image a short time ago of amanda berry's sister coming out and wiping her eyes, clearly overcome by emotion. we had suspected. in faked we heard that amanda berry was going to be coming out to give a statement, but then we found out about ten minutes ago that according to the police and their initial conversations with these three women, that the three women have not seen an adult outside the house where they were being kept for close to a decade. to one might deduce that if you haven't seen an adult for that long of a period of time, then seeing the crush many cameras, seeing the crush of people may have been too much for amanda berry. so again her sister came out and thanks the public for their support and asked

from that cleveland house was discharged from the hospital friday. let's go to it with ron allen who has been covering the story from cleveland for us.o you, what do we know about how michelle knight is doing? >> reporter: we don't know a lot, unfortunately, because she is in seclusion, and she's also he is stranged from her family. her mother, grandmother, others are here to see her. they have not been able to meet with her either. apparently there was conflicts in the family even before she was abducted back in 2002, so now there's a lot of confusion about her case. there's a facebook page that's been set up by people in the community who are concerned about her welfare now. as you know, when the other two women were released, there were huge celebrations, family reunions and there was nothing like that for michelle knight. her condition was worse because she was hospitalized longer. she was in captivity longer. she was the first woman abducted by castro. we don't know a lot about her condition, but hopefully she's improving and hopefully we'll get some word soon. >> part of the reason we don't know about her condition is she is ke

from the same neighborhood in 2004. police say the women survived a horrifying ordeal. the prosecutor says now the tables have turned and ariel castro is the captive. pamela brown is joining us now from cleveland on more of today's awful, awful hearings, those details that keep emerging, pam. the prosecutor has some tough words for castro that he didn't say in the courtroom either. >> that's right, wolf. some very pointed words directed at castro. we heard from the prosecutor saying basically summing up the torment that these three women and the little girl went through over the past several years. prosecutor saying that the women were bound and restrained, beaten, sexually assaulted, never allowed to leave the home. he went onto say that castro kidnapped these women to use them in a self-gratifying self-serving way. the prosecutor just talked about how the victims, two of them endured this for more than ten years, another victim enduring this for a little bit less than ten years. but basically painting a picture, wolf, of what these women have gone through in talking about how now the tables have been turned, that now castro is the one held captive. >> you know, it's hard to believe a human b

. >> martin savidge joins us live now from cleveland.n, it's just a remarkable interview that you secured with these two brothers. i'm curious as bits and pieces of this interview are being aired all day on cnn, there are times when those brothers are extremely upset for what they have gone through. did you feel they were equally as outraged and devastated over what the girls went through? >> oh, yeah, absolutely. that was the main reason they wanted to talk. that was the first thing they wanted to talk about was the fact that they were relieved that they were now free, that they were out and that they wanted to make sure people knew they had nothing to do with it. but, yes, it was the girls always first and foremost on their minds explaining they were totally innocent, that was second in the message they wanted to make. there's no anger there. not anger against the police or against anybody else. if there is anger, it's against their brother, the betrayal they feel on the part of the family. and also i think there is that sense that the

joining us now from cleveland is gina dejesus' mother, nancy ruiz. for the first time in ten years your daughter is waking up at home. what are your emotioned this morning? >> i'm still in a dream. i pinch myself every morning. it's awesome. i'm unable to describe the feeling that i have because she's right there by me now. i still pinch myself because i'm still in my dream. it's so awesome to have her home. >> i'm sure that it is. can you describe for us, nancy, the first time you saw her after all those years. what did you say to one another? >> we didn't say nothing. we just grabbed each other and held on. that's what we did. there was no words. it was just hugging and kissing and crying. >> it reminds me of something my mother used to say when i would come home. she just wanted to lay her eyes on me and i'm sure that's what you wanted to do, lay your eyes on your daughter and the conversation would come later. i understand you were able to see all three of the women. how are they holding up emotionally, nancy? >> surprisingly they are doing great

news, three women found alive in a house in cleveland after being missing for up to 13 years in some cases. ri rachel dissel from the "cleveland plains" joins us. what are you learning at this point about this ariel castro? >> well, it aes really interesting. all of the neighbors that i've spoken to have basically said that they had no idea that anybody else was in the house, that his daughter would come over with his grandson. they never saw any of these women or the child. i talked to his uncle, julio castro who owns a store just at the corner of the street and right across the avenue there and, you know, he said he had never seen his nephew with any of these women. he said his nephew was a school bus driver and a musician and that everybody would tell you he was a beautiful person. if you asked them, you know, i talked to some over people that have known him for going on 20, 25 years. they're all in shock by this. though we have heard some reports from people that work with the municipal school district, where he was a bus driver, who said there was some little inklings he had something going on because he got in trouble for bringing his sc

that cleveland police supposedly visited the house in the past several years on a number of different types of calls. they never went inside. can you tell us anything more about those visits from cleveland police officers? what precipitated those visits? and what the outcome was? >> yes, i can tell you that in 2000 and 2004, the division of police received calls to respond to the home on seymour. the first call in 2000 was for the suspect mr. castro to report a fight in the street. and the second call in 2004 was in relation to an incident he had concerning him leaving possibly leaving a child unattended on a school bus. he was not charged in that crime, however, after a thorough investigation and search of our call-ins, those are the only two calls we show to this home. any other information people may have if you feel that needs to be reported to police, we ask you come forward. our strongest partnership is with the community. so if you see something, say something, we need to know it. if you have information to provide, we'd love to hear from you. contact the cleveland division of police or the fbi in this case. >> two of the young women found in this house -- their cases a
