nbc's bill neeley now joins us from london with the latest.ois hollande has confirmed there are no survivors expected on that a-320 airbus run by germanwings. it was 42 minutes into a flight from barcelona to dusseldorf in germany when all contact was lost at 6,800 feet. that is an area of the french alps and debris has been spotted in that area. the plane is believed to be in a crevasse in the mountainside. inaccessible from roads. so even if there were survivors, it would be very very difficult for search and rescue teams to access that plane. however, in an area like that it is quite possible that within the next few days the flight recorders will be recovered. because at the moment there is no real clue as to why the plane crashed. the weather was perfectly normal light winds, light cloud but no thunderstorms, no bad weather reported at all. the pilot did send out a distress signal and the plane then went down descended from 38,000 feet. and descended at a rate of about 3,000 to 4,000 feet a minute. now, that sounds quite dramatic but it i
