oakland and there has been another ferry from harvard bay to alameda. there has been a manager from the ferry service out here monitoring the traffic. the agency doubled the boats it used from san francisco, they have gone from one to two boats. they are going every 30 minutes and running three boats from san francisco to alameda, oakland. an additional boat has been on stand by. earlier today some wished that extra boat had been used. >> trying to avoid the crowd. if we leave work early we thought we wouldn't have to wait and it didn't work. >> reporter: we just spoke to the manager from the san francisco ferry service and he says boats are coming every 35 minutes. the san francisco ferry service said it is running its highest capacity boats, one boat holds 700 people. they are listening to the feed back of the commuters. there is not much of a line at all. i am sure it will build but now that bart seems to be running again, doesn't look like there will be too much of a weight. things look better out here than an hour ago. janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >> service is up and so is the demand for trains. cçrrú [ thunk ] sweet! oakland police officer is recovering this morning. tara moriarty has been talking to neighbors about the shooting and joins us live from oakland to let us know what they saw. good morning, tara. >> reporter: well, the neighbor says that he felt that the female officer involved in this shooting was justified in shooting the suspect. it happened right here in front of this corner store, which is called muse market. it's on the corner of 05th and e streets -- 105th and e streets. a neighbor says he heard four shots fired. he ran out and discovered the knee male officer pointing a gun at a man in his 20s who appeared to be shot in the leg three times. witnesses say two men were fighting. a female officer intervened when she noticed one of the suspects had a conseemed gun. so she fired. some say the officer was nice enough not to wound him. others say that's contributing to the problem. >> i heard about four or five gunshots. >> did it sound like people firing at each other or -- >> i heard just the gunshots. >> i didn't hear anybody firing back at each other. i just heard gunshots. >> reporter: police detained a second person for question
