terry mcsweeney joins us live from south san francisco. >> reporter: south san francisco police are looking for the man who barged into his estranged wife's house, grabbed the two children and took off on a stolen sailboat. he may be going to monterey or mexico, maybe even asia. look at the man that police and others are looking for this is 43-year-old christopher maffei, you see his two children, 3-year-old and 2-year-old, maffei is the father he and his wife are separated. look at video we have of the house where the children lived with their mother this is where maffei went tuesday, grabbed the children, their grandmother gave chase, it was a bit of a struggle, she was somewhat injured but he managed to get away. police believe he and the children are onboard a stolen sailboat we have a picture of that, this is unleashed out of alameda. they are not sure where he's going but he did mention he was interested in going to monterey, maybe mexico, maybe even thailand, he used to live there the mother said she had a lot of trouble getting police to give her help. >> they took a report but said
