[ no microphone ] >> this all started in solano county with an attempted traffic stop. the chp followed the driver all the way down i-80 to the upper deck of the bay bridge. chopper 5 above the scene just a few moments ago. that's the pickup truck that police were chasing. police used a spike strip to stop it at ashby avenue in berkeley but it kept on going on flat tires! we're told the driver continued to speed and weave through traffic until it spun out just before the fremont street exit. chopper 5 also caught images of police arresting the driver. the fallout from all of this, a nightmare friday evening commute in the area. traffic into the city is backed up across the bridge. at one point, three lanes were blocked. we are just getting word the chp has cleared the scene on the upper deck but even so, the bay bridge commute right now a real mess. i'm live in the newsro
