because while most of us did not see snow, there was snow in the higher elevations out to our west as this all ended yesterday and we want to thank don and regina from west virginia this beautiful picture in. they had about 3 to 4 inches of snow at it an elevation of 3,000 fee. at lower elevations it was close to 1 -- 3,000 feet. at lower elevations it was close to 1,000 feet. meanwhile focusing on the rain, that really was the big story and the rain totals are amazing. for starters reagan 3.1 inches of rain, a new daily rainfall record, a new record for the month of december and the most rain we've had since august 27th when hurricane irene came through. dulles had 2.3, bwi 2.6, but when we look at this whole thing in motion, i was staggered at the amount of rain that came out of places like prince george's county, a lot of problems around upper marlboro. some 4-inch rain totals reported in prince george's county, in charles, in calvert, in anne arundel and these waterways are very full. the storm fortunately is gone. the wind shifted direction. we're hoping the water will begin to ease out of some of these waterways, but it's still pretty dangerous. here comes
