in a few moments. what started as a 3.8 but downgraded to a 3.4, pg&e telling us power went out for 10,000 customers in pacifica. let's bring in jean elle now with an update. what's happening out there and was there any damage first and foremost? >> reporter: raj, right now the power is back on here in pacifica, and so far we haven't heard of any reports of damage or injuries here. we're still waiting to hear from pg&e about what knocked out the power. 10,000 customers knocked offline. but the power is back on. most people say the power went out after 3:00. right now traffic signals are back on and traffic is moving smoothly in pacifica. most everyone here say they felt the 3.4 magnitude earthquake. kayla jennings was walking to the post office because her car was stuck in the garage with no power. she said she didn't feel it but she heard it. >> i heard a big noise and there's big construction going on above us up in the hill and i just thought maybe something had fallen down from there. i have two cats and they were spooked but i didn't feel any shaking. >> reporter: a taco bell here in pacifica did have to s

pacifica. jonathan blum joins us with a closer look. jonathan? >>reporter: right here inof the peninsula near pacifica and close to san francisco international airport. ocelot and you can see the shaking map. -you can see--going closer. the shake map the epicenter is between pacifica in san bruno. right between the runways of s f o. it was right in the center were always felt the strongest. through san francisco, millbrae the green/turquoise is indicating the strongest. you can see on our shake map the purple and light blue is indicating less shake but still a wide area. this was a deep earthquake at 8 mi. below the surface. this red line is the son andrea's fault. notice it was not, under asphalt. this is most likely under the sun andrea's fault not on the sun andrea's fault if the on the east side it make it almost to tracy. and to concord, vallejo they felt some shaking but not a lot of shaking in the sonoma county. certainly marin county had felt shaking enough to be deductible. once again this was felt around a large area in the but not enough to beat- detectable. >>
