"you know, every flu season is different. sometimes it can peak in october and sometimes is can start peaking in the later months. it all depends on the strain that is circulating." jack: an average of 300-thousand iowans get the flu each year, according to the centers for disease control. the flu shot is recommended for everyone six months or older. stephanie: make sure to check any skippy peanut butter if you have it in the pantry. several 16-ounce jars of skippy's reduced fat creamy peanut butter spread are being recalled. the manufacturer says small pieces of metal
