breaking news this morning out of southern california, where the police officer is on the campus of usc. cleared the encampment of student protesters around 430 this morning. the university's public safety department sent out a notice to the students, warning they would soon move in to clear the encampment and that anyone who didn't leave could be arrested by police. lapd also assisted in the process as officers moved in in protective gear. our sister station in los angeles, knbc, saw protesters leaving peacefully. as of 5 a.m. police tell us the quote, illegal encampment was clear. no arrests were made. and the unrest, as you likely know, began just last month after usc announced it was canceling the graduation speech of its pro-palestinian valedictorian, the lapd then clashed with pro-palestinian protesters on campus. on april 24th. more than 90 demonstrators were arrested back a week ago. meanwhile, across town at ucla. a different scene. this was just a few days ago when students and officers in riot gear clashed with one another as police dismantled that encampment following a week
