states. the deaths have happened in 15 states, including california, which is two confirmed fatalities. 275 new cases were reported in just the past week, and that brings the total number of illnesses to more than 1000. health officials are repeating the recommendation the people refrain from using any e- cigarettes or vaping products until more is known about the mysterious respiratory disease. according to doctors at the mayo clinic, the lung damage resembles that of a chemical burn. the say the injury looked like those seen in people exposed to mustard gas, a chemical weapon used in world war i. so far medical investigators have been unable to pinpoint exactly what is causing the lung damage. >>> the vacancy rate is rising in san francisco in the top shopping destination. stores a big and his team of volunteers. the temple as part of the fall exhibition no spectators, the art of burning man. he says the 40 foot tall nondenominational temple is called the temple of reunion, and
