and finally, in may 1948, from the ussr ministry of agriculture, the plant received a draft of technical design of a new tractor, a universal wheeled one with a 37 horsepower diesel engine . after finalizing the new tractor model in the design bureau, which was given the name belarus, the project was already completed at the end of 1948 by the minsk residents represented at the scientific and technical council of the ministry of automotive and tractor industry. it was headed by academician evgeniy alekseevich chudakov, an authoritative figure in the ussr. after much debate, the technical design of a universal wheeled agricultural tractor was approved. the calculations and arguments of the chief designer of the minsk tractor plant, ivan iosifovich drong, turned out to be more than convincing. the car had to be put into production as soon as possible. on july 18, 1949 , the twist of the experimental workshop was already the first belarusian wheeled tractor, developed by the plant's designers, was coming out. it became an event, its own development, its own assembly. the republic laid the f
