clouds thinning out at mount vaca in vacaville. you were cloudy most of the day. did see some rain north of ukiah, mendocino county this morning. that's it folks. we'll have an active storm track to our north. we have to look at how much snow in the sierra. even more this weekend. mount rose is about a foot and a half away from hitting 700 inches of snow this winter. boreal not that far behind, 640 inches. and kirkwood 601" with the snow this weekend, over 50 feet of snow. milder tonight, more humid and cloudier. so vallejo only dropping to 45. livermore 41. and mid-40s fremont san jose 49 degrees tonight in san francisco. so it's an interesting weather pattern. we still have an active storm track. we still have a lot going on, on the west coast but this time, we are not the direct recipient of that rainfall. the active storm track stays in far northern california. southern oregon, we are on the south side of things which not only means we stay dry, but we're also going to stay warm. we'll be in the 70s and stay in the 70s for a while. san jose you get close tomor

it was on southbound interstate 505 at the vaca valley parkway off ramp. officers say the driver appeared to have lost control and sent the car off the road and through a fence. the car ended up split in two and the driver died at the scene. the chp so far has not determined whether drugs or alcohol factored into that crash. >> an investigation right now under way about how a cow ended up in the fast lane hon highway 4 last night causing a six-car pile-up. one of the cars actually flipped over. you can see it right there. chp got the call and by the time officers arrived several cars had already struck the cow. you can see how badly a lot of the vehicles were damaged. one of them, as we said, did flip over and that one is missing a bumper and the entire back part of the vehicle. amazingly what it looks like there were not any serious injuries. all of this happening near martinez. the chp says there were a lot of stocks around there. >> managed to do a great job trying to keep defenses maintained and sometimes cows get out and unfortunate to have it happen
