vai? >> thank you, jessica. an airplane problem is delaying thanksgiving travelers headed to philadelphia. an american airlines flight bound for philly had to make an emergency landing just after takeoff from tampa international airport this morning. the plane reported a mechanical issue with an engine. the passengers got off the plane safely and are being put on other flights. and air travel has been on the decline in the leadup to the thanksgiving holiday. fewer than 10% of turkey day travelers are choosing to fly. officials say it may be because people are spreading their travel plans throughout the week. nbc 10 first alert chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with our holiday travel forecast. glenn, what have you got? >> vai, it's looking good, not just around here but all up and down the east coast. we have bright blue skies in many parts of the area, the temperature is up from what we saw over the last couple of days and so it's relatively comfortable as well. in ou

vai. moments ago pennsylvania state police told us an unidentified suspect, male in his 20s is beig questioned here at the skippack parks. we're told it's regarding his reaction to a recent breakup. choper 10 was over methacton high school in eagleville after we learned of the status. state police tell us students with -- were not harmed. i was told a resource officer was at the high school when students arrived and the lockout was put in place this morning. here's the official statement from the school. "early this morning we were notified of threats against a student at the high school. in consultation with law enforcement and in an abundance of caution, the high school was placed on lock-out status as law enforcement investigated the threat. the individual responsible is now in custody and we will be returning to a regular building operation." we've also learned that he will be arraigned in a short time. we will continue to follow any developments and have them as soon as they become av

>> reporter: i do, vai. i learned that this suspect was not arraigned in the 4:00 hour which was when the most recent arraignments were done. i'm told the next chance for arraignment will be around 8:00 this morning so that's likely when the 17-year-old suspect will be arraigned. he is being charged as an adult and being charged for attempted murder of a state trooper. look at this video we saw not long ago. it's the recent video of the suspecting walked into southwest detectives. investigators say yesterday morning he and several friends were pulled over for an expired vehicle registration on interstate 76 near the exit for university city. during that traffic stop, the suspect is accused of driving off while his friends were questioned by police on the side of the highway. that forced troopers into a high-speed chase through morning traffic on 76 and the vine street expressway. the suspect was firing at troopers as he drove, only coming to a stop when he hit an empty school bus that was stopped in traffic.

>> reporter: they jumped into action right away, vai. we heard a sound bite from the district attorney right at the top of the show where she was talking about the courage that this family had in these very difficult circumstances. take a look at the mug shot, the suspect, 28-year-old oscar. he broke into the home early monday morning and got into bed a 6-year-old girl. her 11-year-old brother woke up, saw the man in the bed naked, he ran and got his parents, they called 911 and the children's stepfather held him at knife point until police arrived. according to the affidavit he tried to get away pleading kill me, kill me or let me go. the montgomery county d.a. says the girl was assaulted and now the neighbors want justice. >> was like traumatizing after we heard that. my son is 5 and she was 6. >> can't believe it. there's a lot of things that go on there. this is just disgusting. she's a baby. and i'm just shocked. and very upset for the family. >> reporter: the d.a. says that this was not the first time that the suspect broke into th
