. >> joining us via skype this morning, the communication manager of vail resorts, let's talk about the fact crews were out all day yesterday accessing the avalanche danger. what's the newest information? >> this morning reducing the danger of raining this morning so they are reducing it from five down to considerable this morning. so last night the temperatures dropped and i just got out you can see behind me, temperatures drop and blue bird skies out now. those inches are a thick layer cape. so we had cold snow and warm snow. so what's happening there's multiple layers. we have to let this sit for a couple days. if you're in the back country but at the resorts like kirkwood, our ski patrols are out early this morning working mitigation. there's multiple different charges around. so the avalanche center has reduced the warnings from high to considerable but still a high danger in the back country. with the avalanche control we're doing it's looking really good. >> when you reduce that avalanche danger, does that open up more of the mountains for people to enjoy the fresh powder this mo
