in 1975, the owner had purchased the store from an irish man and changed the name to val de cole and established the store in cole valley. as val de cole is open every day, even on holidays, and we have hundreds of different types of wines, spirits, and beers, from all over the world at different price points. cole valley is a landfill that used to be a pond. i submitted some pictures from the early 1890s in the gardens. during the 1989 earthquake, we were slightly damaged, and i couldn't believe the support from the community.
