the valdez fire is just one of a string of fires recently at construction sites in the area - the atf has deemed 3 as arson, releasing video of a person wanted in connection with the fires. kron four news has learned the complex at 2302 valdez - the site of the most recent fire had a large security presence with guards 24 hours a day and surveillance cameras around the site. video has been given to the atf for review. estacio - in addition to equipment and federal agents - a specially trained dog was also on scene to help out. initial reports was the the fire started in the middle of the development... but that has yet to be determined... and . at one point tuesday, oakland fire officials standing by - had to go in and put out smoldering embers. an atf spokesperson says the investigation is in the beginning stages and it is unknown how long it will take to determine the cause or origin of the fire. in oakland, teresa estacio kron 4 news. we are on grand avenue, right at valdez. you can see all of these people outside of the apartment building. this apartment building is called the grabbed -- grand. it is caddy corner to the building that caught fire this morning. most of the people who were evacuated live inside of this building. there are about 240 units. the reason that everybody is over there is they thought they were going to be let back in a short time ago. then they had growing concerns about the stability of the crane here at this construction site. they wanted to things out before they let people in. one of the residents came up and told me they were just told that they will be allowed to go back into their units temporarily, maybe for a few minutes to grab some of the things that they might need. it doesn't sound like they will be let in on a permanent basis any time soon. we will show you the video from this morning. again, the big concern in terms of letting people back into the homes is the stability of that crane, that free-standing crane here a
