s humanitarian chief valerie amos, is worried. >> some of those villages are virtually flat end. but it is very very hard to see how we're going to get to them. it's not been possible to land helicopters, because of the landslides in some areas. but because in some other areas there simply is incorporate to land thenowhere to landthe helicopter. the village is on a ridge and there's absolutely nowhere. >> fez jamil in kathmandu. fez, much of the devastation is coming from kathmandu but what about other remote areas what have you heard? >> well, as the u.n. humanitarian chief was saying it's hard to know. because a lot of times we still don't have access to these places. the helicopters, there is a shortage of helicopters to begin with. and the ones that are able to go out, the train is terrain is not able to land because of it. very inconsistent and very minimal at this point and this is one week after the quake struck. so the worries and concerns are still mount going the health and quality of life for these people in these remote areas. >> now fez some of the survivors are star

we listened to valerie amos and she was saying they need to do more work to get the aid in. >> she was frank. she's been here a short time. her day started early, meeting with ministers and the prime minister to discuss the situation at the moment. what was of concern to al jazeera was an interview with the communication and information minister they confirmed that the road network has been cleared. they may get blocked as another downpour and the landslides hit the main roads. the big stumbling block was the airport. there was a backlog of cargo and aid trying to get out of the airport. with only eight planes to sit in at the small international airport here in kathmandu. difficult for all of the aid efforts or planes trying to land to bring in the aid. they managed to sort and ease the situation out as time progressed. she was reassured when she arrived that the mepallees government -- nepalese government seemed to be on to it at half. >> you've been around kathmandu looking at the historical temples that have been destroyed. is there hope that they will ever be rebuilt? >> it seems
