(jrs) valerie harper -- who is known for her role as rhoda on the mary tyler more show ... harper also starred in the spinoff t-v series called- "rhoda". in march of 20-13... she revealed that she had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer ... she also battled lung cancer in 2009. her husband had recently said he had been advised to place her in hospice. harper celebrated her 80th birthday just last week.
