tonight another cloudy night, vallejo 53, napa 50, san jose 53 degrees. the wind is coming from the ocean. the ocean temperature is down to 51 degrees. so we're grabbing that cold air, transporting it all over the bay. this has been this way the past 3 1/2 weeks and with nothing in front or ahead of our ridge of high pressure moving everything is stuck including the rainfall in texas. our pattern is also stuck. the weather we've had we will continue to have tomorrow and wednesday with the ridge sitting offshore, the flow from the ocean continues. so we'll have that chilly breeze. even with the afternoon sunshine temperatures remain below average 25 days after we're through with tomorrow. by thursday that's the transition day, low pressure ahead of us moves allowing the ridge to get closer cutting off that ocean influence. that will warm us up. that sun angle is high in late may. once we get the sun without the ocean wind it will get warm. that will begin thursday. we'll begin to see microclimate temperature spreads really exert themselves later this week.
