vallejo police believed her story was fake. that was last we heard about the case till this morning. the fbi unsealed an affidavit for the rest of matthew muller. he is a former marine and lawyer. the fbi says he was involved in a home invasion robbery last month and he broke into the house and tied up the couple inside and got away before police arrived. investigators say matthew muller left his cell phone in the house. >> he left a trail behind that we followed. >> reporter: investigators tracked him down to his home. he says he was the one who broke down matthew muller's door to arrest him. >> he wasn't surprised. i think he knew we were coming. it was a matter of time. >> reporter: during a search after the arrest, investigators found evidence that he was connected to the vallejo kidnapping. one of the pieces of evidence were goggles that the affidavit says was used during the kidnapping of denise huskins and they still had blond hair, denise huskins' hair still attached to them. mese are not commenting -- police are not co
