he's already serving time for the 2015 kidnaping and assault of denise huskins in vallejo. the case received extensive media attention and was profiled in the new and the netflix series american nightmare. for three months, police accused huskins of making up the story until mueller's arrest. the santa clara county da now says they've connected mueller to two crimes from 2009. mueller allegedly broke into two homes back then in mountain view and palo alto. prosecutors say both victims were able to either fight him off or convince him to leave. investigators say they used new forensic dna testing on skin cells that were found on a strap used to tie up. one of the victims. we're very fortunate that this is a case that was continued to be worked on by many individuals and many different law enforcement agencies. and ian, there was actually another connection to that vallejo case that the da mentioned. yes, yes, there was. and they didn't elaborate much on it, but they did think the seaside police department in monterey county, they say that denise huskins was actually working
