quinn refused to cooperate with the vallejo police department. what is critical about this, is that voluntarily and with the advice of ms. morton, he provided fingerprints, clothes, computer access. he gave up every password to every device he had so that they could see that his account of what occurred was accurate and real. he also gave a blood draw and i'll explain why that is important. and he gave what is called a bucle swab. he gave a voluntary consent to search his residence. now understand that mr. quinn is a health professional, dedicated his life to helping people. he has no criminal history. he has no history of mental illness or any kind of offenses at all. he had a really good relationship with the woman who was kidnapped and his concern during all this time is that the woman not be killed or harmed. so what is coming out makes him look that he is somehow perpetrating a hoax. i want to make it clear to everyone, that we have not seen evidence yet that this was some type of hoax. and as to the victim, her failure to cooperate with the

according to the vallejo police officers they were called to this strip mall parking lot regarding a man throwing beer bottles and waving a weapon, when police units arrived the situation quickly escalated. they found a man standing next to a black dodge pickup truck holding a hunting knife. this is audio much the radio call leading up to the shooting. >> reporter: now, the sleep train store mentioned in that call is just a few yards away from where this all happened. there's also a target store here. this is a pretty busy shopping center especially on weekends. tonight we watched as crime scene investigators measure the area. and about an hour ago a mobile crime lab arrived to assist. police have not released any further details, including information about the man who was shot, and the extent of his injuries. it's also not yet clear if that man did have a handgun. there has been some conflicting information as to whether he was armed with a handgun along with that knife that they initially saw. we are also waiting to find out how many officers fired at today's shooting. we are told

they have agents here helping the vallejo police to search for this woman. this morning, police are searching for an area near mare island for this woman, 29-year- old denise hoskins, a physical therapist. the abduction yesterday was first reported to police by a man who lives at a house on kirkland avenue where the woman was reportedly taken earlier monday morning. he has not been identified by police. police say there has been a ransom demand made. police say hoskins was taken away in a car, found later at an undisclosed location in vallejo. police won't say why the man who reported the abduction waited for almost 12 hours to call them. >> he was essentially saying that female, mrs. huskins, was forcibly taken against her will from the residence. >> reporter: but that's all police will say. it's not clear if the man couldn't call them or just didn't. police also won't say if he has any relationship to her but neighbors say he's the woman's boyfriend and they lived together at the house. police say as far as the car used in the abduction, it's a white toyota

she said initially she was kidnapped and then a second time by allegedly being a suspect by the vallejo police department. >> reporter: her boyfriend's attorney has a similar story. >> he has basically died and gone to hell. he is in terrible shape. he is exhausted mentally and physically. >> reporter: aaron quinn's attorney says the reason aaron didn't report the incident to police for ten to 12 hours is because he was tied up and drugged by some potion he was forced to drink. since then, his lawyers insist he has been helping police, endured 17 hours of questioning, gave them his computer and phone, which happen to be in airplane mode. quinn's lawyer says it was one of his staffers that suggested the fbi take it off airplane mode. that's when they started getting messages including one demanding ransom. >> no one in this -- at this, you know, massive fbi team figured out to look at the phone even though he had given them the phone and given them consent to go through the phone. no one had looked to see until sam said something that it was on airplane mode. >> reporter: here at the vallejo pd

a look at them video brown 1030 wednesday morning the huntington police department contacted vallejo police department does say that denise huskins had been located at her father's home in southern california. huntington beach police said that she was uninjured and she has no visible signs of trauma. vallejo police department says that as of this afternoon they have not spoken with denise huskins and that they are working on making arrangements to meet with her. there are still many many unanswered questions in this case. we do not yet know exactly how she got from delay of the huntington beach. investigators have not name any suspects at this point. we also still do not know why it took so long possibly hours for her boyfriend to report her missing. also the police department would still not elaborate on the ransom demand that may have been made for denise is a return. although they did say they are still treating this case as a kidnap for ransom. >> reporter: one other note from the press conference the police are refering to the man that this guy does denise denise is boyfriend as saying
