we had 0.4 in middletown near the valley fire. mill valley and 0.25 for napa. the rain dropped off and we didn't see much in the south bay. but hopefully that helps with the valley fire. new updates and today's high there will be 75 degrees and then the temperatures go way up this weekend. so, we're back to some hot and dry weather. and, also, the smoke will be carried into the bay area today. now that we have another shift in the wind, looking at 5,000 feet, the wind direction coming in from the north and east and then more of a northwesterly wind at the ground level. so, the air quality may be a little bit lower today. you may notice some drifts of smoke actually going through the afternoon. this weekend it does heat up as high pressure builds in the valleys. it will be in the 90s and up to 100 degrees. that's what we're expecting in a tri-valley. tomorrow will be in the 80s and then 90s on saturday for many spots and by sunday we could be hitting 100 degrees in the tri-valley. 80s and the peninsula will be at 83 degrees tomorrow and then up to 92 degrees on
