the central valley, though, all our neighbors and friends in the central valley could face the worst of the flooding. we spoke with dr. alison bridger, a meteorology and climate professor at san jose state about what's happening now. >> something i've been worrying about since about february, i would say, is that we get a big heat wave with temperatures much above normal throughout california, causing fairly rapid melting. it won't be 90 in the mountains, but it will still be plenty warm enough for the snow to melt. >> we're not talking about some rural spots. the central valley is filled with a lot of important cities for our business and our economy and just our friends and family. are there specific concerns in terms of locations? i know in the lake tulare is a big deal. we had some of our reporting crews in corcoran last week. they're getting ready. there's a lot of cities lined up there, correct? >> yep. and really anybody in the central valley who has any investment in the levees holding should be a little bit concerned. the levees are yet another example of infrastructure that

the snowpack and flooding is expected in the valley. in this aerial video, you can see feet of snow still covering the peaks . it definitely wasn't anomalous year for the yosemite national park. they got hit basically by system after system, we refer to them mostly as atmospheric rivers. and there that just kind of increase the snow pack up to about 250% jessica chiari, a meteorologist at the national weather service, said temperatures have climbed to the nineties, they issued a flood watch for most of the park and a flood warning for the paho no bridge area, which is expected to reach flood stage saturday morning. we are expecting some kind of flooding to occur down there in the yosemite valley area, which is why you have somebody national park did. preemptively go ahead and close down those lower elevations. the rivers are running fast and cold . floodwaters are expected to cover roads, impact campgrounds and infiltrate buildings as much as we hate it. when we closed the park, there's nothing worse than telling a visitor. i'm sorry yo

this while federal regulators admit some fault in the silicon valley bank collapse. with the latest developments now with sara donchey. >> all right, a lot of eyes on this story today. let's start with tirs now. so on monday, th bank's earnings report showed total deposits had fullen 41% in the first quarter of this year after a consort chum of banks stepped in with $30 million. they saw a sharp drop in deposit activity after the collapse of silicon valley bank and signature bank last month. that got attention from around the world. white house sources are telling cnn today they have no plans to step in with another rescue package. experts say that means the bank will likely go into receivership by the f d i.c.e.. also a new report from the federal reserve today details serious management problems at silicon valley bank at the time of its failure. they have 31 unaddressed safe and soundness warnings from federal regulators. the fed also admitted a role saying regulators didn't realize how vulnerable silicon valley bank really was. the report recommends a sweeping ree
