van holland, number one. >> thank you mr. chairman.this provision relates to making sure we provide resources for inspector general's. in federal agencies. as all of you know inspector general's are the watchdogs in these agencies. their charge is to look out for waste, fraud, abuse. it is clearly a huge disconnect for the president to say he wants elon musk and the boys to come in find savings and more government efficiency when you are getting rid of the inspectors general. fired 16 inspectors general. i know senator grassley has done yeoman's work over the years and protecting inspectors general's. because we do rely on them to be important eyes and ears on behalf of the american public make sure these taxpayer funds are being spent wisely. so when you clear out the inspector general's agenda terrible message that you are opening the door to more wasteful spending and abuse is not a recipe for efficiency it's a recipe for corruption. i would urge my colleagues to support this amendment i make sure we provide funding for those inspec
