there is a bunch coming from the tropics southwest of the hawaiian islands as we have this warm system in vancouverseattle we have snow melt due to the warm nature of the system with rapid river risings. for us just cloud coverage. mostly cloudy to the north partly cloudy to the south. 40s for temperatures near 50 but more 40s. near 54 others, american canyon at 50 degrees. 56 at point reyes. 42 healdsburg and occidental. petaluma 52 as well as mill valley and san rafael. 19 in truckee, 32 in reno. patches of fog in the valley and there is a little bit of fog for us north and east but not much and we do have a red flag warning with high fire danger for southern california. it is warm and dry with no change. the average high this time of year in palm springs is 73. they are already 66 and the 15 day outlook has not one temperature under 80 degrees. for us the cloud coverage will be about the high-pressure returning and unfortunately we have a blocking pattern lasting for weeks. high clouds today with patchy fog but dry for the next 10 days mild and warm. it sure looks like it is going to pan out.
