eloi vasquez was supposed to be one of them. it's a race against the clock in the search for eloi vasquez missing for now more than two days. >> he is a kid, so sometimes he doesn't get right back but never a whole day. >> reporter: his mom is hoping today will bring new clues. he left a frat party near usc around 1:30 saturday morning. his friends say he told them he wanted to go to the beach and then walked off. the last person known to speak with the 19-year-old was aurora cardinez. she showed us two incoming calls and then the last text message she sent which saz "are you okay," and no response. >> as the cal campus began to wake up again for day one after spring break, investigators in l.a. are still trying to piece together where vasquez went and what happened if. the search for clues is also now on social media, where #eloi and #findeloi have begun to spread with other sports team lending their support. those closest to vazquez are hoping the attention will net some new leads. >> i'm really scared and i'm really worried.
