and in just the past half-hour, kpix 5's joe vazquez learned some new details about the horrific crime. joe. >>> reporter: i just spoke with the attorney for the family of 9-year-old jordan almgren. the family will make a brief statement tomorrow thanking the public for their overwhelming support during this awful ordeal and he told me a few details about the murder that we hadn't heard before now. there had been a sleepover, a neighborhood sleepover, with children staying at the house. the mother went to bed around midnight and teenagers still up until around 2 a.m. sometime after that the family believes one of the guests william schultz, sneaked into jordan's room and stabbed him to death while he lay sleeping. and that it was jordan's own mother who discovered his bloody body early the next morning. so prosecutors today in the courtroom said they were going to three throw the book at him. after laying out the charges against 18-year-old william schultz the prosecutors decided no death penalty for the suspected murderer of 9-year- old jordan almgren. >> he is charged right now with
