this video, because of the high water level, the adriatic sea because of the rain falling, 18% of venice's historic center was flooded sunday. waters washed over canal walls in saint mark's square. people were forced to walk along those higher walkways and carry their bags so that they would not get wet. you can see here some of these areas are up to knee deep high when you're sitting down and people not only have to wear these wet boots but some of them were even using plastic bags to cover up their feet in the process in the shoes so they don't get completely soaked. we're going to see this pattern continue because we have this low pressure system once again in place. that's going to pull all that moisture from the mediterranean sea, dumping it back around into italy and also the balkan peninsula. that wet weather pattern will continue on in to tuesday and wednesday. so stormy weather extending down from italy, in to the balkans, as we go through monday. that includes severe wind gusts, tornadoes, some thunderstorms, and large hail all part of that equation. definitely you want to pay at
