vernon as a boy to, you know, toured here. and my parents taught me about it. what it meant am i am my mom's brother was killed in world war two when he was jima. he was a marine. and my i think my mom's view of democracy came out of that world war two experience so that we were fighting democracy in world war two and we were fighting against fascism. we were fighting against, you know, the japanese imperialist and in i think that was really the traveling. and then going to libraries and just getting on all of the early founders, you know, reading about alexander hamilton and reading about the great, you know, jefferson, washington and many others. and that's continued throughout my life. so comes from like studying books, the founders, but also parents that kind of home educated me about that before grant i don't recall the first time i was told about democracy, but my first experience of democracy was when i was six or seven years old and there was an time for the 1960 presidential election. i was attending a catholic school. and so when i was at school the n
