veronica johnson is here with a look at our weather. we got a bit of a break on the temperatures. >> always nice when you get the early rain on a summer day and some cloud cover too. we have two more nasty days with heat to deal with. let's take a look outside. we got clearing skies from earlier showers and even a few thunder showers we had move through. as far as our high temperature goes today it got up to 87 degrees. just shy of that 90 degree mark after starting out at 73. your average high 89 degrees. we got a starry night too coming up with mostly clear sky and a "new moon". we'll have the big moon light getting in the way of seeing the stars. it will be fairly clear overnight. we're left with most of our cloud cover off to the east and down the south through areas of the northern neck. you can see that rain too making its way southeast ward. the busy stuff south fredericksburg. we got one lonely little shower that's out there too. this one making its way into loudoun county, so it's moving southeastward. showers in bluemont and m

we're tracking wet weather. >> let's head straight to meteorologist veronica johnson.he's live in the storm center with the latest. >> not a lot of wet weather. more clouds across the area than showers, but tomorrow we're talking about widespread rains and even some stormy conditions. your showers now what's left as this line has been heading east and out of here right around bowie, maryland, annapolis too wet and extending out heading out towards the east, east of clinton, maryland. right around 301. that will be heading towards deale and sunderland. our temperatures today, a little cooler than yesterday now. 82 degrees currently in gaithersburg and germantown, montgomery county, prince george's county, 82 camp springs. fairfax around falls church and reston coming in at 82 degrees. that's where our forecast is. our city planner, ashburn, virginia could see a scattered shower around 7:00. other than that partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies as we head to 79 degrees by 10:00 p.m. in a couple of minutes we'll have your beach and boating forecast. >>> people are reacting

meteorologist chuck bell and veronica johnson in later this evening updating your forecast. right now we're at 80 degrees in washington, 79 in reston, 78 for those in rockville. a high temperature today of about 88. we'll hit that at 3:00 p.m. when we're still seeing cloudy skies and temperature of 88. 6:00 looking at partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies, temperature of 85 at this point. there's just a chance of a shower or isolated thunderstorm. look at what future weather does with our weather pattern. i tend to agree with it. working our way throughout the midday and early afternoon hours we continue to see scattered showers and light rain. getting into the later afternoon early evening hours, we are starting to look mainly dry across the area and starting to see a little more sunshine develop. overnight tonight we'll be mainly dry. tomorrow we're going to start off with some limited sunshine at 7:00 a.m. temperature of 76 degrees. a humid day. a high tomorrow of 91 degrees. a little bit warmer than today with some afternoon scattered showers and storms likely. tomorrow so
