let's turn to the forecast of v vianey arana. >> the lake tahoe area did see about 26 inches of snowfall in the past 24 hours. however, in tahoe northstar, they saw 26 inches in the past 48 hours and 27 degrees. we're actually seeing a few skiers and snowboarders out there, and i know you're wondering when that warmup will come. yes, we are still in the 40s and 50s for the most part. 43 in palo alto, but there are some changes on the way. doppler radar still showing a few lingering showers, and we are expecting these showers to begin to clear out and taper off by the evening, but as that cold front makes exit, high pressure will begin to build in tomorrow, and that's going to bring a change in those temps. today we will be topping out in the 50s over the next couple hours. here's a look at what you can expect. by about 5:00, 6:00, we'll start to see more sunshine in there. that's a look ahead. yes, we are expecting 70s toward the pliddmiddle of the week. we're talking about a drying trend and when we're expecting it coming up in just 50 minutes. back to you. >>> now a live look at tahoe

vianey arana, set the stage for us as we head into the weekend and this is going to continue, beautiful techl tours. kswao matter how warm we get that water stays very cold. hazy skies, calming as you mentioned. 62 already in the south bay. and 60 in san francisco right now, but as you head into the weekend and today also, kicking off the weekend, we will be warming up very nicely into the upper 6 0s and mid 70s. here's a quick check of your saturday forecast. 9:00 a.m., very similar to what we saw today, in the 50s and during your lunch hour we're warming up at about 67 degrees inlapped, 63 towards the bay, partly cloudy skies, by 3:00 that's when things really warm up to about 64 degrees and 73 degrees for inland areas. by dinner time, at about 7:00 p.m., we cool down just a bit into the 50s. 54 degrees and 60 for inland areas. we do start seeing some breezy conditions along the coast lined. so, it's definitely shaping up to be a lovely weekend ahead. i hope you all take advantage of the weekend. coming up i will have a closer look at sunday and the next seven days and when we're expe
