vianey arana has a look at the microclimate forecast and you were saying it is still going to be a little warm today as it was yesterday. >> it will be. and we will still expect to see the fog at 10:00 a.m. today. this is san francisco. we're starting to notice some areas of fog developing, across the coast and in inland areas as well. 45 in san jose. 39 in napa. but yes, you're right, we're going to see a change in our temperatures tomorrow. but satellite radar, you can see that cold front, just to the north, and what is going to happen is that cold front is expected to bring increased wind speeds and a drop in temperatures. however, we're going to get through one more day of upper 60s for today. a quick look at the san jose temperature friend. notice by about 10:00 a.m., mostly clear skied are expected in san jose. and temperatures in the upper 50s by 11:00 a.m. and upper 60s for most of the interior valleys and san francisco to the 60 degree mark today and by tomorrow, temperatures are going to drop by as much as ten degree, and we've also got a wind advisory that takes effect tomorrow

and let's check in with vianey arana with a check of our forecast. the winds might force people to stay in and watch the oscars. >> for southern california, we're tracking rain. so that is another possibility. >> see what that red carpet turns out to be. >> but we are well prepared. i'm from southern california and it has happened before. but locally we're not worried about the rain. it is dry and windy. that is the big story for today. the main reason we're under a microclimate weather alert and i want to start out with the view of the golden gate bridge because it shows two components. how beautiful and clear it is. but it also shows this flag. you could see it waving and i saw the national weather service did tweet out they had a spotter spot 40-mile-per-hour gusts in the city so something to look out for and you could see how clear the conditions are. on satellite radar no clouds in sight over the bay area. so taking a look at the current temperatures, two systems are interacting and creating the weather pattern. 52 in palo alto. significantly wa

vianey arana has a look at the micro climate forecast. she was helping me with my mike phone. >> we have the gray clouds. you saw them on the live take. this is satellite radar. we did have some showers pass just south of us. you can see it here on radar. the majority of the rain for the central coast of california so monterey, some areas of south san jose with showers but it wasn't really measurable rain so that's going to continue to trek eastward. now san francisco look at the current temperature, 55 degrees. the camera's keying out a little bit but seeing fog building in. as we head into the afternoon, though, expect to see beautiful clearing of the skies and our temperatures are once again going to be warming up into the upper 60s, a couple low 70s. the temperatures will be running just a few degrees cooler compared to yesterday but we have a couple of changes i'm gong to tell you about and the latest on the sierra snow pack and complete details in about 15 minutes. >> we still hope for actual rain. >> exactly. >> thanks so much. >>>

vianey arana has a look at that microclimate weather alert.y. >> yeah. we've already seen north bay mountains pick up gusty conditions and a very clear morning. look at the view of the golden gate bridge. we have no clouds in sight. our current temperatures right now in the 40s and 50s throughout the bay area. and 45 in san jose. for the daytime highs, the big story today is the wind. in the hills we've seen winds gusting upwards of 45 miles per hour and it will get windier but becoming wide ved by the afternoon. daytime highs reach the 60s and that is why there is a wind advisory in effect all day today and it doesn't end until tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m. and the coast and hills could expect winds sustained at about 30 miles per hour. possible gusts upwards 40-plus and then extremely windy as we head in toward the afternoon where you see the yellow, that is a wind advisory. the red on the map is a high wind warning. so i'll take you through the timing and the gustiest conditions that we've seen so far and exactly what you could expect comi
