meteorologist vianey arana has been keeping an eye on it. >> we had some drifting smoke that may bring on some haze to portions of inland areas. live look in san francisco. you can see that marine layer. nice layer of fog there, and overall we're expecting moderate air conditions and the bay air quality not expected to go to unhealthy air quality but just enough to bump up those numbers into the 50s and 60s based on the air quality outlook. not just for today but heading into the weekend as well because of that drifting smoke. especially for areas in the north bay, the coast, the south bay looking good right now. but santa clara valley, seeing that drifting smoke pushing northward from the central coast of california. and as we head into the weekend we're expecting to get a little bit of a cooler trend which is good news because we, of course, saw 90s for the official start of fall. in san jose, comfortable overall. light variable winds, 74 degrees. into the afternoon between 2:00 and 3:00, mid and upper 80s for the forecast. i'll go into more detail on how the rest of the bay area is
