i'm vic carter. >> and i'm denise koch.eople are talking about. >> at least eight states, including maryland, are conducting investigations into whether a former hospital employee, infected patients with hepatitis c. now, thousands of people are being encouraged to get tested. >> authorities say this man is a serial infector. david quikowski was arrested last week, accused of infecting at least 30 people at a new hampshire hospital with hepatitis c, by stealing syringes and drugs for his own use. then allowing the same needles to be used on patients. >> he knew he had hepatitis c, as of at least june 2010. he continued to divert drugs and permit painted syringes to be used on patients under his care. >> reporter: 6,000 patients at this new hampshire hospital, where he worked as a med tech. but the risk does not stop there. other states where the suspect worked, include michigan, new york, arizona, georgia, and kansas, are investigating and recommending patients who may have had contact with quiidkowski, get checked. >> ther
