that's important because you've talked about lots of money being pumped into the system, vicki, which is great, but you can't keep doing that. and as absolutely true, and that's exactly what's going on right now. for example, the u. s. is reducing the, the amount of bonds is buying back in from the market every year. if you remember, it's been something like $120000000000.00 worth of bonds has been buying since about march 2020 every month. i mean this huge amount and he's reducing that now it started doing so from november that is reducing that by about 15000000000. a month so, but the middle of next year is not going to be buying anything any more. now that may change a little bit if economy slows down, but, but we have seen is indeed there is a little bit of withdrawal of monetary support taking place right now. but also at the same time what is happening is that they are looking again at maybe not increasing interest rates, anything like as fast as they would have done otherwise. so we're not talking about things really tightening, hugely, we're talking about the, the, the central

i'm vicki liviakis. starting tomorrow. masks are required again in san francisco, mayor london breed and the city's health director announcing today that masks have to be worn in indoor public settings regardless of your vaccination status. the ci y is also making changes to booster shot requirement amid the omicron surge. our kron four's. rob nesbitt has more now on these temporary changes. >> california has been requiring masks indoors regardless of vaccination status for a couple weeks. san francisco is aligning with the state and getting rid of exemptions to reduce the spread of covid starting tomorrow and lasting through january. all people must wear masks inside public settings such as offices and gyms. another big change announced by the city is that starting february first healthcare workers and those in high-risk settings will be required to have a covid booster shot. infectious disease expert at ucsf. doctor peter chin-hong. so the changes make sense given the high number of positive cases being reported each day
