number three on record for vicksburg. natchez, number two on record. notice the dates, january 15th, 17th. we have 10-14 days before these areas see their crest. the problem with that is it allows any rain, any rain chances we may have in the next 10-14 days to add on top of what these crests already are. even though we saw some of them saying they were going to be number four, five, six on record, those could change as we start to get more rain. if we pick up, say, an additional one, two, three inches of rain in the next 14 days, all those numbers could change. baton rouge likely to crest around january 19th this. was very important for not only baton rouge but downstream near new orleans. as the water comes down, they will closely watch. they have the spillway. if it looks like it is simply going to be too much water, they will access that spillway pouring it into lake pontchartrain so it does not flow into new orleans. they do believe they can catch it in time and not cause any problems in new orleans. many, it is on their mind and fingers are cross
