i was looking at vicky garbin and all i saw were clips on labor movements. so journalism and pamphlets need to bemovement. rosa parks has been politically active for two decades. she is making stands. people she knows are making stands. and they have gone nowhere. part of the lesson of these activist is how much courage is about persevering. she talks about her arrest being annoying and irritating. and i think in that she decided this is a line that is too far. but she has no sense this is the beginning of a new chapter, right? and so i think part of what we learn from the histories is that you to do things again and again and you don't see the moment that history moved until we are well into it. and so i think part of what we might call is the children's book or story of rosa parks, you make a stand and everybody rises up. except that is not how it works usually. so part of what the histories allow us to see it work of having to do it again and again and there is no sign this act is the important act. and yet, and still, part of why i wanted to start with t
