vicki nguyen discovered a little-known security concern that could put your privacy at risk. >> reportergood morning. we were tipped off by a viewer who accidentally discovered a security concern in home surveillance cams sold across the country. kevin was shocked to find these video clips in his e-mail. they showed a woman in her living room. she was setting up the camera, watching tv, eating chips. the video was recorded by a ka thatry camera kevin bought and returned to amazon.com. the woman bought kevin's used camera but had no idea he could still see her. we found this is a common problem. many stores are required to send any used cameras back to the manufacturer to be reset to prevent this, but our investigation found that didn't always happen. representatives from canary and amazon tell us they are investigating this incident. to see which brands we tested and how to avoid having your security camera turned into a spy camera, watch our full report tonight or log on to nbc bay area.com/weinvestigate. >>> that's right. do you have a tip for the bay area investigative unit? give us a
