this is really right near downtown vienna. route 123 near nutley street. an eight inch line ruptured early this morning. it's still unclear how old the line is but you can see the crews working. they are in the early stages of this job. and they are just now starting to dig up the road so they can then lobbying the break down below. it is also at last check, 25 degrees here in the area. so keeping the equipment, the tools and quite frankly, the surface here from freezing will be quite a challenge throughout the day for these crews. in the meantime only one northbound lane is getting by. this is the lane heading towards tysons corner so only one lane getting by so traffic is very slow this afternoon. and will be throughout the day. the town of vienna public works will be working on this we're told, for several hours. the good news only a handful of customers here in the area are being affected as far as not having water. but again this work will continue throughout the evening. john gonzalez, abc news. >> a malfunctioning railway crossing in rockville right
