first we'll go to vienna, austria, where u.s. and international negotiators have been meeting with iran. there may be a fatal flaw. >> back in april u.s. and iranian negotiators banged out a preliminary zeal meant to find some milt ground-z deal meant to find some middle ground from tough sanctions. well this is the week when the fine print is supposed to be figured out. al jazeera correspondent james bays has our report from vienna austria where this final set of talks is set to go down. james what do we expect? >> mary, one u.s. official described the atmosphere of these talks as a roller coaster. i think it's pretty fair to say that the last couple of hours has been a low tempo here, that's because most of the foreign minister with the exception of u.s. secretary of state john kerry have left. they have left because the iranian foreign minister zarif has left. the fact that he's gone back to tehran could make this the most important day of these whole talks because he's gone back for consultations with the president and the su

steve sedgewick has been following the action at opec from vienna. >> coming off recent highs on the back of the opec decision to keep output unchanged at 30 million barrels a day in vienna not a surprise given the fact they are producing at 31 million barrels a day but a short meeting, a meeting in which the players looked happy despite the fact that oil prices are still lower than where they were back in november when they decided to keep output unchanged and that sent the markets down aggressively. wh they are saying is that all members can pretty much produce as much as they like and they are seeing move demand on the back of lower prices from asia and from europe as well. one interesting out liar going forward is iran could come bact to the export market in some fashion if they get to the nuclear deal. the minister said he could put one million barrels of oil and that could dent the world oil prices and put way more supply than is demanded on to the markets. so at the moment the opec ministers seem happy but many of them saying the better price for them and the consumer at the f

aljazeera, vienna. >> ali velshi is in tehran for us tonight. and ali you're in tehran and what's the reaction to the extension of the talks. >> i have to say yesterday there was cautious optimism about a deal. and there was no one who told me it's for sure, a done thing. there had been some optimism based on the fact that the lead negotiator for the iranians, the foreign minister, had returned from vienna to tehran, and that could be seen as a bad sign but he went back to vienna early this morning to continue negotiations. mid morning, we had reports going on around the world that this wasn't going to get done by the deadline. the deadline just passed not too long ago, and this was not going to get done. but the interesting part was the revelation that the deal, or the negotiations are being extended. they didn't call it a new deadline. they said that it's being extended to july 7th. and that means that they're going to keep on working. we had heard talk here in tehran that there were hopeful signs about a deal. so again cautious optimism combi

the foreign minister returned from vienna to tehran yesterday and went back to vienna. the conversations are continuing. there's a sense that there are still things outstanding. just as the u.s. will have to get the deal ratified by congress, up or down, yes or no, not amended the same thing has to happen here. the lead negotiator for iran is the foreign minister, a former diplomatic, the ambassador to the united nations. he's not the president and certainly not the supreme leader of iran, so those are people who are going to have to sign off on a deal. as you mentioned the goal posts have changed a little bit so there's a sense that iran -- let me give you an example. a couple of newspapers i picked up a lot of people gathered around news stands. this is a farsi language newspaper, zero hour. the logistics of who went back and forth and what is going on in the negotiation. english newspaper less widely read, no reference above the fold on the main page. there is a story about greece, but not about iran and the nuclear conversation. below the fold, there's analysis. it
