until now such firms could only be found in vietnam or thailand. there was nothing like this in laos. the factory processes scrap iron into construction materials and other items and then sells what it makes. last year it processed more than 10,000 times. the engineers and skilled workers are all vietnamese. company director khamlo khamlon sengsavone used to power procure iron in vietnam and sell it in laos. he came up with the idea for this business after the laotian economy began to grow, producing mass amounts of scrap iron. his plan was to take advantage of a nascent construction boom and reprocess locally collected scrap iron to turn it into low-cost construction materials. >>> the pay workers can earn at the factory is slightly higher than vietnam. we met a young vietnamese man who came to laos five years ago with no funding or special skills. he now runs his own business. kim hieu hieo is the third son of a farmer. hieo is a junk and scrap metal dealer. right after he got married his father-in-law said he should come to laos to start a junk

we are thinking about mexico or thailand, vietnam, maybe russia.t's still in the evaluation stage. we don't have any actual people in these countries yet. >> johnny is on this tremendous growth clip -- xiaomi is on this tremendous growth clip. what is next for the capital story of xiaomi in terms of fundraising for an ipo? >> i'm not the money guy, i don't spend a lot of time thinking about the finance side of the house. when i can say, and i truly do mean this is that we don't have any plans to go public in the near future. it's great to be a private company, we move really fast and you can change directions quickly without necessarily having to worry about all the various implications of doing that. it's really good to be a private company. with the we can continue to move fast. the way we are, we raise quite a bit of capital, which gives us a tremendous amount of investments runway. obviously, we can invest in a lot of startups, we can help our partners expand manufacturing. there's so much we can do with the capital. we are good for a few years

the traditional beach destinations of southeast asia or thailand, philippines, vietnam. >> what abouthe currency. europe with the weak euro, our people going there and snapping up luxury goods? >> not that we see so much. japan has been the big improver. before, withsaid the lore of the snow holiday, that is attractive. i have to say, i miss the snow sometimes. except these snowstorms. the skiing is very nice. >> certainly. >> tell me about some of the 10th you would get people because a lot of people -- tips you would give people because a lot of people wait until the last minute. >> sometimes you can get a special deal last minute. experiencedave all this overtime, the organized and prepared and try to book early. that is one. you prepared to look off the beaten track. explore hidden gems. >> like what? >> places like cambodia have picked up a lot. some political instability and issues there with the chinese but i think increasingly, people are prepared to travel further to seek out that unexplored gem to share withhing their friends. ofwe do have to be mindful political sensitiviti
