according to our news partners with the tampa bay times, the rec center was going to be renovated by the vinik family and the the boys & girls clubs of tampa bay. some sad news to pass on this morning.. the police officer that was shot in tacoma, washington, has died. the officer hasn't been identified. what we do know is that they were responding to a domestic times and is believed to still be barricaded inside the home. right now that neighborhood is on lockdown. this story has a lot of you talking this morning. should schools be required to give kids recess? right now-- parents and lawmakers across the state are working together to get play time back. 10news reporter sarah hollenbeck is live in the satellite center. sarah, they're making a lot of progress. yes, there are two bills being introduced right now for the next session....and it was parents who paved the way for this change. the bills would require schools to give elementary school kids at least 20 minutes of free- play recess a day. this is a huge relief to parents who say their kids need time to just be kids. so why was recess ta
