vinita, good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning.ght processing what they are calling a very large crime scene here at the high school. as of this morning at least three of the victims remain hospitalized. as for the suspect, 16-year-old alex hribal, he was taken into custody almost immediately after the attack. the he is being charged as an adult with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault. it all happened at 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning just before school had even begun. authorities tell us that the suspect was wielding two knifes, one in each hand. the knifes are 8 to 10 inches long. he started slashing and stabbing indiscriminately as he ran from class rroom to the hallway. it ended when students, as well as the vice principal, sam king, tackled the suspect. >> i was in the school and i came down the stairs, and i saw the kid and mr. king was yelling at him and i didn't know why. i turned around and saw him stab the police officer and afterwards he went down and mr. king took off to take the kid down

vinita nair, cbs news, new york. >> axelrod: some questions as we look ahead to tax day. who cheat and why? o'donnell >> >> axelrod: just in case you've lost complete track of the calendar, we have a reminder-- tuesday is the deadline to file your income tax returns. the i.r.s. estimates $270 billion in revenue will be lost due to unreported income, this despite polls showing 90% of americans think cheating on taxes is wrong. our business analyst jill schlesinger joins us. the numbers don't seem to square. who is cheating? >> according to the i.r.s. it is the small business owners who are under-reporting their income by 43%, a big number. now, i don't want to suggest small business owners are bad guys and gals. it's just that they have an opportunity to report. remember, most of us are w2 employees. our companies are reporting what we make to the i.r.s. we don't have a chance at doing it. but even in these small areas, tbhoaks have baby sitters or nannies, 90% of them are cheating on their taxes, just suggesting that perhaps we're not quite as against cheating as we say w

. >> all right, vinita, thank you. >>> a significant new storm system is pushing in from the pacific this morning. it will bring rain, snow and wind to parts of the west coast. meteorologist megan glaros of wbbm said this could cause big trouble as soon as tomorrow. >>> good morning for our viewers in the west. some of you could see mountain snow today. we're looking at another storm system that will bring rain anywhere from seattle to portland to potentially san francisco, but mountain snow will also be a result that will be paired with winds that will be gusty today. as the storm system progresses on up to the east, we do have the potential for severe weather. anywhere from texas all the way up to minnesota. what we see with this low-pressure system as it progresses on off to the east bringing snow to the cascades, the sierra nevada mountains and rockies, it will then run into very moist, gulf of mexico air in the center portion of the country, the heartland at risk for severe weather tomorrow. for damaging winds, large hail and tornados, anywhere from texas up to minnesota. >> meg
