i'm vinita nair. >> and i'm jessica layton. we begin with a tragedy in the u.s. military. three u.s. marines have been killed in a helicopter crash in australia. the cause of this crash still under investigation, but the helicopter the marines were on has been involved in other fatal accidents before. for the very latest on this, we go live to our raf sanchez. good morning. what do we know what led to this crash? >> jessica, good morning. with don't know very much at this stage. the investigation is still under way. not clear if this was some kind of technical malfunction, pilot error or something else. we do know these u.s. marines were taking part in a training exercise alongside australian force, and that there were 23 people on board the aircraft when it went down. now three were killed in the crash, and their bodies remain at the crash site. another five marines are in serious condition in hospital in northern australia. the remaining are still in the hospital still being treated for more minor injury, or they have been released. they were on board what's called an os
