this is an enormous crisis in west virginia right now. a lot of people have to leave these areas because there's no water, no bottled water that's left either. let's talk about what's going on with the west virginia governor earl tomlin. thanks very much for joining us. i know that you're over ta water treatment plant behind you. how bad is this situation? >> well, it's pretty bad. as you mentioned we do have way over 100,000 -- we don't have the exact number yet -- of people who are without water. obviously all the restaurants are closed down, the hotels are having to close down. schools were out yesterday. it's just a real inconvenience for the people not being able to use their water with the exception of flushing toilets. so we're working to put all the state resources we have together. we're doing water tests on an hourly basis and the chemical level is declining, but we're just not sure exactly how long it's going to take until it's acceptable to lift the do not drink ban that the west virginia american water company has placed on u

special election for virginia's 33rd senate district. it includes portions of fairfax and loudoun counties. wexton got 53% of the votes. republican john whitbeck earned 37% and independent joe may had 10% of the vote. wexton will now serve the remainder of attorney general mark herring's senate term. wexton's win means the state senate is evenly split now between democrats and republicans, but only as long as democrat lynwood lewis wins a recount for the 6th senate district. any ties in the upper chamber would be broken by the lieutenant governor. he's a democrat. >>> a germantown killed two of her children and wounded two others believing that a demon was skipping from one child to another. prosecutors say zakeiya avery sometimes performed what she called exorcisms and called herself a demon a sass in. during a -- assassin. during a court hearing a judge ordered she undergo a psychiatric examination. a similar exam is likely for monifa sanford who is accused of helping avery carry out those attacks. >>> tonight at purdue university one

virginia politicos refer to something they call the virginia way.institutional culture that gave rise, to do the work of lobbying. now that bob mcdonnell has been hit with a multiple count indictment, charged with repeatedly asking a virginia executive for loans and gifts, in exchange for helping out his company, the virginia way may be less about noble civility and more about stuff like this. maureen mcdonnell noticed a watch and asked what kind it would be, she would like to get one for her husband. after williams agrees to buy the watch, maureen mcdonald instruct ed him to have virginia governor ena graved on the back of the rolex. i guess it beats the virginia way. even if every one of the counts is true, it's unclear if the governor and his wife broke any virginia state laws. mcdonnell's request to postpone his initial court appearance was denied, which means he's scheduled to be indicted on friday. you and i were going back and forth about this indictment? it's a bonkers document. >> it seems like what he was doing was basically extracurricula
