about the recognition of the people in the bay area and continuing to allow our ancestors to have a voice here in this land. i was honored by taking part in an occupation we hear about occupation all the time right now. anbut the occupation that happed in vallejo, calif., was like changing, not only for myself, but for many people. it changed the world of indian people in california by allowing cultural easement. . so this was not just my victory, but a victory of the ancestors and the work they have put us through over the past 15 years reading the peace talks, by walking to each of the sites that have been desecrated by buildings being put on top of them in red robes and bathrooms and bars. by honoring our ancestors that each place we went to, the ancestor found as it to do the work. so i am honored to do that work, and continue to do that work. i am also really thrilled to be a part of this because it is a humbling experience. i think when people go through humbling experiences, it helps them to seek further and see how they can do more. had i not on the work, i would not have met so many y

what i am trying to voice here, in this meeting, is that hopefully you will take this matter into consideration because a lot of kids have been affected. i know that as a school board, you have to defend your principals, that is part of your duties. please take a look at what the parents and children are saying is an issue. there is going to be a lot of denial back and forth, but it is a serious issue where, i know a mother who, on a daily basis, she has watched the underwear of for son because there is a policy that they are not allowed to go to the bathroom. on a daily basis, this child comes home with soil and underwear. that is one of the issues that i am aware of that is going on. obviously, there is a major disruption of education going on at paul revere because of the issue with the new principal. hopefully, before you approve for new contract, which is coming up in december, but that all the petitions that are coming out from parents involving this -- involving these issues. thank you for the opportunity. >> could you tell us what ace stands for? >> the alliance of californians for empo
