joining us are sophia, melanie, amanda, and august von trapp. great grandchildren of captain and maria von trapp. welcome to all of you. i'm trying to see if you look like maria. they're not the real ones that we all know from television. nbc, of course had "the sound of music" last year and of course the original screen version and the first one which was on the broadway stage. have you seen them all? >> yes. >> do you feel like, hey, that's my family up there? >> it's really amazing. our grandfather was portrayed as curt in the sound of music. our grandfather was the youngest boy. >> there was a real von trapp in the show? >> not in the show but -- because it was a movie portraying a real family. >> oh, i see, all right. >> it's so great to have you here. thomas lauderdale, you started the pink martini which is the band that they'll be singing with. how did you start that? >> started 20 years ago. i thought i was going to go into politics and i hated the bands that were playing at political functions. it's a cross between the united nations an
