there is still enough money to cover the food vouchers. in july, if no funding i guess received by august, all food assistance will be suspended for syrian refugees living in urban communities in jordan. 85% of the syrian refugees population is living outside the official camps. it's going to leave 440,000 syrian refugees without food assistance. the word food program release completely on contributions from the international community and from private companies and individuals, and that is already 80% underfunded for this year. it's calling on the international community to send the assistance in order to continue to help many vulnerable refugees from syria living in all parts of the region. that includes not only lebanon and jordan, but egypt and turkey and iraq. now, the world's food program has used this warning practice in the past where it tries to prepare the refugees for possible cuts in food assistance in following months, but it also uses this warning that statement, in order to remind the international community the countries th

as part of our homelessness effort we have vouchers. one of my favorite programs is a program that provides support for families so we show we're not only caring for the veteran but their family as well. certainly when a veteran joins the service or when a service member joins the service, the family goes with them. and when they deploy the family goes with them as well. so we have to care for families. we need more of that kind of innovation. we need more creative solutions that we can use. we in the va are willing to try anything that will work. all we're concerned about is getting the numerical outcome at the end, making sure we get the human outcome of a veteran who is better off. now, we're also working on many technological solutions, things like telehealth and also regional veterans courts. we're committed to creative approaches to make these crucial partnerships work. you all here in this room are at the nexus of justice involvement and homelessness. we want to share where we are with any veterans homelessness. as you can see by

the wages were stagnating, there wasn't enough that was being produced and there weren't enough vouchers that were going on. we're playing catch-up on that. at manna we see instances of homelessness and we are referring them to other places that need services and then the reality is too we are seeing people that have been able to come out of homelessness and to transition -- into transitional housing situation, and they're not paying quite as much on the rent. then they're coming to us because they have gotten to a more stable place and they are able to look at home ownership. they're able to look at getting their finances in order. and stepping into a market to buy an affordable home that we have built or something like habitat for humanity has built as well. that's the goal, having a continuum of housing that can support people where they're at. meet them where they're at, when their housing needs and help them to step up and move up along the way. >> you're not only helping them get into homes -- building homes for them, but you help them build equity. >> exactly. i think that's the i
