before any party of congress, everybody likes to say x thing happened, this vpn ban happened and this is tied to the 19th party congress. maybe. or maybe it's one of a serioes f step and it happens to be suskenchs suque suques sequential. i just don't see a lot of evidence that's happening. it's a question of incentives. there's not a lot of incentives to back off from the sorts of social policies that they're working on right now. specifically if we look at information control and internet. there was an article in september that had a really, i think, important quote that says if our party cannot traverse the hurdle represented by the internet, it cannot traverse the hurdle of remaining in power for the long term. so you know, there may be slight spikes in terms of information control or internet control. but i think the overall trend is pretty clear. i like to think of it like airport security in the u.s., except it's actually effective. there's no incentive to be the guy in my airport we can stop taking off our shoe and going through the weird naked people scanner. that doesn't win
